Requirements
- Currently pursuing a degree in a related field (e.g., Business Administration, Computer Science, Engineering)
- A strong interest in project/program management or product ownership within a technology organization.
- Knowledge or a strong desire to learn about the high-technology industry.
- Excellent academic record and a demonstrated ability to learn quickly.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to problem-solve and make well-judged decisions.
- Highly organized and able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Able to work well under pressure and respond to changing priorities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal relationship-building skills.
- A strong team player with the ability to engage with all levels of the organization.
Responsibilities
- Support product initiatives throughout the product lifecycle, gaining valuable insights into the journey from conception to release.
- Assist in defining project scope, goals, and deliverables.
- Contribute to the creation and management of project timelines/schedules, ensuring timely delivery of product milestones.
- Provide support to complex projects and product initiatives involving coordination with multi-disciplinary teams at Geotab.
- Assist in facilitating effective communication, aligning visions, and ensuring accountability for required work/deliverables.
- Assist in coordinating internal team activities and supporting project meetings.
- Help maintain detailed meeting minutes and follow up on action items.
- Contribute to establishing and maintaining project deliverables, timelines, and milestone updates for sponsors and key stakeholders.
- Assist in analyzing project issues and developing solutions.
- Learn to anticipate potential problems and proactively address them.
- Assist in gathering and documenting stakeholder requirements for specific products and translating requirements into detailed technical specifications.
- Participate in post-mortem reviews post-product delivery or as required within the project delivery process.
- Support project communication and reporting.
- Assist with project tracking and analysis.
- Contribute to communicating vital information to the project team and broader product teams.
- Assist in preparing and presenting regular progress reports to stakeholders and senior management.
- Engage in establishing best practices, templates, policies, tools, and partnerships to enhance organizational capabilities.
