About The Position

The Solutions Consultant – Performance Software helps customers improve operational performance, safety, reliability, and workforce effectiveness through Emerson and AspenTech performance software solutions. This customer-facing role focuses on Emerson Alarm Management software, including AgileOps, and simulation software, including PredictPro, Mimic, and AspenTech HYSYS. It combines process-industry knowledge, technical credibility, and consultative selling to identify software opportunities, shape solution strategies, and support successful project execution. The role supports customers across upstream and downstream oil and gas, mining, pharmaceuticals, power generation and distribution, chemicals, food and beverage, and pulp and paper.

The consultant leads opportunities from customer discovery and qualification through solution strategy, value development, proposal support, and transition to project execution. The position collaborates across sales, engineering, delivery, and partner teams, and advises customers and internal stakeholders on alarm rationalization, operator effectiveness, simulation strategy, model development, adoption, and sustainment. Travel may be needed for customer meetings, workshops, site visits, and project support.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, automation, process control, chemical engineering, mechanical engineering, or a related technical field; equivalent experience may be considered.
• Experience with alarm management, process simulation, operator training systems, process modeling, or industrial performance software in process manufacturing environments.
• Strong consultative communication skills and the ability to engage technical, operational, commercial, and executive stakeholders.
• Ability to travel as needed for customer meetings, workshops, site visits, and project support.

Nice To Haves

• Familiarity with Emerson and/or AspenTech platforms, especially AgileOps, PredictPro, Mimic, AspenTech HYSYS, or related alarm management and simulation solutions.

Responsibilities

• Lead Emerson Performance Software opportunities through the sales process, from customer discovery and qualification through solution strategy, value development, proposal support, and transition to project execution.
• Position Emerson Alarm Management software, including AgileOps, and simulation solutions, including PredictPro, Mimic, and AspenTech HYSYS, to address customer needs and improve operational performance.
• Translate customer requirements into solution strategies, implementation approaches, preliminary scopes of work, and value-based recommendations.
• Deliver customer presentations, executive briefings, technical workshops, and solution demonstrations covering alarm management, dynamic simulation, operator training, and process modeling.
• Collaborate with sales, engineering, delivery, and partner teams to develop proposals, estimates, pursuit strategies, and implementation plans.
• Advise customer and internal stakeholders on alarm rationalization, operator effectiveness, simulation strategy, model development, adoption considerations, and sustainment needs.
• Support customer meetings, workshops, site visits, and project activities through travel as needed.
