Solutions Architect

CEC Entertainment

About The Position

The Solution Architect designs, builds, and guides the evolution of CEC Entertainment’s business-critical digital and store platforms. The role combines hands-on software engineering with architecture leadership and technical product management, translating business requirements into scalable solutions and writing production-quality code. Assigned platforms span point-of-sale, loyalty, guest-facing, and enterprise integration domains, with deep retail experience and strong Microsoft Azure expertise essential. The role is split roughly evenly between hands-on engineering and business requirements, architecture, and technical product management. The architect works with business, operations, marketing, store stakeholders, engineering, QA, DevOps, vendors, and executives to define requirements, own solution architecture, coordinate delivery, and track product and technical KPIs. The position also provides tier-3 support for critical POS and API incidents, mentors engineers, and promotes reusable standards and patterns. The role requires an 8-hour shift, some overtime, and availability to travel to various locations by airplane or vehicle if needed.
