About The Position

Shift4 is seeking a Solution Specialist to help merchants grow their businesses using the company’s Point of Sale technology and merchant servicing products. This outside sales role focuses on developing new accounts and growing business in an assigned territory by prospecting, building merchant relationships, presenting solutions, and closing sales. The position also supports existing clients with additional hardware, software, and professional services, while maintaining product and payments-industry knowledge and coordinating regularly with a direct manager.

Requirements

• Willingness to cold-call and set in-person meetings with potential clients.
• Willingness to close deals in a fast-paced sales cycle.
• Entrepreneurial spirit and hunter-like mentality.
• Computer and smartphone literacy.
• Background in door-to-door or outside sales.
• Ability to meet sales quotas.
• CRM experience.

Responsibilities

• Set appointments with merchants to present Shift4 Point of Sale and merchant servicing products.
• Prospect by phone and in person through networking and referral partnerships.
• Assist existing clients with add-on hardware, software, and professional services.
• Build merchant relationships by listening to their needs and resolving outstanding needs.
• Explain the value of Shift4 products using a laptop or Point of Sale device.
• Identify and qualify sales opportunities to upsell additional products and services.
• Develop new accounts and identify areas for growth or market opportunity.
• Apply company policies and procedures professionally to grow market share.
• Sign new logos in the assigned territory.
• Maintain knowledge of current products, services, and payments-industry changes and updates.
• Communicate regularly with the direct manager.
• Attend weekly meetings to review the sales pipeline and forecast new opportunities.
