About The Position

Shift4 is hiring a Solution Specialist to help merchants grow their businesses using its Point of Sale technology and merchant services. This outside-sales role focuses on developing new accounts and growing the assigned territory by presenting Shift4 products, identifying sales opportunities, and building relationships with merchants. The specialist works with prospects and existing clients, explains product value, supports add-on sales, and maintains communication with their manager while reviewing pipeline and forecasts in weekly meetings.

Requirements

Willingness to cold-call and set meetings with potential clients in person.
Willingness to close deals in a fast-paced sales cycle.
Entrepreneurial spirit and a hunter-like mentality.
Computer and smartphone literacy.
Background in door-to-door or outside sales.
Ability to meet sales quotas.
CRM experience.

Responsibilities

Set appointments with merchants to present Shift4 Point of Sale and merchant servicing products.
Prospect by phone and in person through networking and referral partnerships.
Assist existing clients with add-on hardware, software, and professional services.
Build merchant relationships by listening to their needs and resolving outstanding issues.
Explain the value of Shift4 products using a laptop or Point of Sale device.
Identify and qualify opportunities to upsell products and services.
Develop new accounts and target areas for growth or market value.
Apply company policies and procedures professionally to grow market share.
Sign new customers in the assigned territory.
Develop knowledge of current products, services, and payments-industry changes and updates.
Maintain regular communication with the direct manager.
Attend weekly meetings to review the sales pipeline and forecast opportunities.
