About The Position

The Solution Architect works alongside a Huron business team to translate business problems into AI solution designs on Microsoft Azure that engineers can build. The role owns the design end to end, contributes to technically challenging parts of the implementation, and serves as the primary link between the business and the engineering pod. The architect frames problems with business stakeholders, determines where AI is appropriate, and produces and maintains Azure solution architecture covering models, retrieval, agents, data, identity, networking, and security. Designs must be secure, governed, observable, and cost-aware from the outset, consistent with the Azure Well-Architected Framework and Huron security and governance standards. The role translates requirements between business stakeholders and engineers; agrees on success measures, including model and agent evaluation, with the Engagement Manager and engineers before development begins; and works alongside engineers on design-dependent implementation such as infrastructure as code, retrieval pipelines, and agent orchestration. The architect also brings relevant industry domain depth to the design. The role is based onshore in the US or Canada for Healthcare work, with travel as needed.

Requirements

  • 5 to 8 years of experience in solution or cloud architecture, including at least 3 years designing on Microsoft Azure and 1 to 2 years leading.
  • At least 2 years designing or delivering AI or machine learning solutions, including at least one generative AI solution taken to production.
  • Working knowledge of Azure identity, networking, and security, including Entra ID, private networking, Key Vault, and role-based access control.
  • Ability to turn unclear problems into designs engineers can build.
  • Strong writing and facilitation skills, with credibility among executives.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • For Healthcare work, based onshore in the US or Canada and able to travel as needed.
