About The Position

Provectus is hiring a hands-on Forward Deployed AI Architect to embed with enterprise clients in regulated industries, including financial services and healthcare. The role involves learning clients’ operating processes and constraints from the inside, then building and deploying Claude- and AWS-based AI systems into production. The architect owns the work autonomously from problem framing through deployment, working as part of the customer’s team alongside a Forward Deployed Executive. Engagements draw on Provectus industry Blueprints and contribute lessons back into them. The position also supports Cowork Activation, Agentic SDLC, and Blueprint Activations, and helps shape enterprise AI adoption and the tooling and frameworks of Provectus’s AI delivery practice. The role is full-time, with on-site client visits and a weekly visit to the NYC office. Base salary is $180,000–$200,000, with bonuses and stated OTE up to $250,000. Visa sponsorship is not available.

Requirements

Typically 7+ years of software-building experience, with a substantial share spent writing production code for which the candidate was accountable.
Currently hands-on and intending to remain hands-on.
Willingness and demonstrated ability to understand another person’s job and become conversant quickly in an unfamiliar business function.
Experience shipping GenAI/LLM systems to production, including addressing challenges beyond the prototype stage.
Experience building or owning an evaluation suite for a nondeterministic system, and ability to explain what was measured and why.
Strong engineering fundamentals and ability to become productive in an unfamiliar codebase or language.
Proficiency in Python and/or TypeScript.
Cloud-native delivery experience on AWS, including operational considerations for systems inherited by others.
Presales experience and credibility with senior stakeholders, including business-unit leaders and CTOs.
Comfort with ambiguity, ownership, and underspecified engagements.
Hands-on experience with Claude, Claude Code, and Cowork, including skills, workflows, MCP, integrations, connectors, or custom harnesses.
Willingness to visit client facilities and the NYC office once a week.

Nice To Haves

Experience with containers and orchestration, such as Kubernetes or ECS, and production CI/CD.
Infrastructure-as-code experience with AWS CDK, CloudFormation, or Terraform.
Open-source contributions or public writing about applied AI.
Experience with GCP or Azure.

Responsibilities

Learn the client’s work, operating constraints, and business function from the inside before designing or building a solution.
Rebuild client functions from first principles alongside the client and a Forward Deployed Executive.
Build and deploy production AI systems, owning the work from framing through production.
Work as part of the customer’s team and process, autonomously determining the method of delivery.
Use Provectus industry Blueprints as a baseline and feed lessons from engagements back into them.
Deliver Cowork Activation, Agentic SDLC, and Blueprint Activations in Financial Services and Healthcare.
Help enterprises adopt AI from strategy through first deployment.
Help develop the tooling and frameworks of Provectus’s AI delivery practice.
