About The Position

Students will engage in the entire game development process over the course of the semester to create a game by themselves that is critical or educational in nature. Students will create a milestone timeline, develop concepts and paper prototypes, playtest the designs of other students and integrate feedback, and then scope and develop a complete game using rapid iteration.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree diploma
  • Two or more years experience designing analog games, either for an organization, or as an independent designer, that were released.
  • Writing in a professional capacity.
  • Experience instructing/mentoring students/learners in the design of games.
  • Experience with games that convey ideas, beliefs, or values to the player (e.g. games about social, political, or applied issues)
