About The Position

The Solids Control Operator performs solids control and vacuum unit work, including equipment rig-ups and rig-downs, analysis, troubleshooting, minor repairs, electrical work, and sampling. The role includes completing daily reports, communicating with customers, supervisors, and co-workers, maintaining professional rig etiquette, training other employees, and traveling outside the hiring region when needed. The operator may also perform general labor tasks as directed by a supervisor and must complete NOV WSS Core Training and annual refresher training.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience in the solids control field or similar mechanical experience sufficient to identify potential mechanical problems.
Satisfactory driving record.
Must pass a background check, pre-placement physical, pulmonary function/FIT test, and substance abuse testing.
Must be able to operate, or be trained to operate, heavy equipment such as a track hoe/back hoe safely.
Must be able to operate, or be trained to operate, the existing solids control line of equipment and any new solids control technology introduced to the market.

Responsibilities

Complete Solids Control rig-ups, rig-downs, troubleshooting, and minor repairs.
Perform Solids Control Analysis of the equipment.
Perform electrical rig-ups, rig-downs, and minor repairs.
Maintain satisfactory knowledge of Solids Control and Vacuum Unit jobs.
Follow proper sampling procedures.
Complete daily reports and communicate with customers, supervisors, and co-workers.
Maintain satisfactory rig etiquette and a professional attitude.
Train other employees and travel outside the hiring region when needed.
Maintain a satisfactory driving record in accordance with NOV's Driver Policy.
Complete general labor tasks as deemed necessary by the supervisor.
Attain the necessary NOV WSS Core Training and maintain annual refresher training.
