About The Position

National Oilwell Varco, L.P. is seeking motivated Solids Control Operators to join its SC 0130-049-00187 OPS - Admin - 3700 team. Operators execute rig ups and rig downs, analyze equipment, and perform repairs while adhering to NOV safety standards and delivering professional service to customers. The role offers growth opportunities across four skill levels (A–D), with comprehensive training and on-site experience.

Requirements

Experience in solids control or a comparable mechanical field.
Willingness to learn NOV policies, procedures, and equipment operations.
Satisfactory driving record and reliable transportation.
Ability to safely perform general labor within NOV safety guidelines.
Pass pre-employment background check, physical, audiogram, vision, pulmonary function/FIT test, and substance-abuse testing.
Consent to random and periodic substance-abuse testing.
Capability to operate heavy equipment, such as a track hoe or backhoe, as needed.
Complete NOV WSS 4-day HSE Core training within 90 days and an annual 2-day refresher.
Possess a basic tool set and appropriate clothing for varied weather and job conditions.
Maintain proper PPE and adhere to safety requirements.

Responsibilities

Complete rig ups, rig downs, troubleshooting, and repairs for solids control and electrical systems.
Analyze solids control equipment and provide recommendations.
Follow proper sampling procedures and maintain accurate daily reports.
Communicate effectively with customers, supervisors, and co-workers.
Maintain rig etiquette, a professional attitude, and safety compliance.
Train and mentor lower-level operators as needed.
Account for all assigned NOV equipment, tools, and PPE.
Identify and use the correct tools and machines for each task.
Submit required documentation and timesheets on schedule.
Perform general labor tasks and operate heavy equipment when required.
