About The Position

SpartanX is hiring dependable Solar Installers for its residential solar installation teams. This full-time, field-based position involves working with experienced crews to install residential solar systems, including preparing rooftops, installing racking and panels, and completing installation details. Installers follow company standards, manufacturer specifications, project plans, and crew leader instructions while maintaining safety, quality, and professional conduct. The role includes travel to assigned residential installation sites and work outdoors in varying weather conditions.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in solar installation, roofing, construction, or physically demanding outdoor work.
• Previous residential solar installation experience.
• OSHA 10 certification.
• Experience with fall protection systems and rooftop safety procedures.
• Basic understanding of residential construction or electrical systems.
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Install residential solar PV systems according to company standards and manufacturer specifications.
• Assemble and secure racking systems, solar panels, and related mounting equipment.
• Perform rooftop installation work while protecting roof integrity and maintaining quality workmanship.
• Follow installation layouts, project plans, and crew leader instructions.
• Assist with mechanical installation tasks and electrical-related work under appropriate supervision.
• Load, unload, organize, and properly handle installation materials and equipment.
• Follow company safety procedures, fall protection requirements, and PPE standards.
• Safely operate hand tools, power tools, ladders, and installation equipment.
• Maintain clean, organized, and safe job sites.
• Identify potential safety hazards or installation concerns and communicate them to crew leadership.
• Support quality checks and address installation corrections as directed.
• Work collaboratively with crew leaders, fellow installers, and field operations teams.
• Communicate professionally and respectfully with homeowners.
• Arrive prepared and on time for assigned projects.
• Help crews maintain productivity without compromising safety or installation quality.
