About The Position

Solar Installers install photovoltaic systems at homes and businesses, helping customers reduce energy bills and environmental impact. This is a hands-on, field-based role for people who enjoy outdoor work and take pride in high-quality workmanship. Installers work with team members and site supervisors to complete installations safely and meet quality standards.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and comfort using power tools, hand tools, and basic electrical testing equipment.
• Ability to work at heights for extended periods, including climbing ladders, working on roofs, and navigating uneven surfaces.
• Ability to regularly lift and carry up to 50 lbs and perform tasks involving bending, kneeling, and standing for long periods.
• Strong attention to detail, safety, and quality craftsmanship.
• Dependable work ethic and punctuality.
• Access to reliable transportation to travel to job sites or the company office, as required.

Nice To Haves

• 1–2 years of experience in electrical work, roofing, or solar installation; experience is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Install solar photovoltaic (PV) systems on rooftops or other structures according to design schematics, local building codes, and safety standards.
• Ensure proper system layout, orientation, and alignment for efficiency and compliance.
• Assess job-site conditions for safety hazards and structural integrity before and during installation.
• Collaborate with team members and site supervisors to resolve installation challenges and meet quality standards.
• Maintain accurate documentation, including photos, site layouts, and installation details, and submit paperwork and reports promptly.
• Keep the job site clean, organized, and safe.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor or project manager.
