About The Position

Trinity Solar is seeking a hands-on, field-based Solar Installer to install residential and commercial solar energy systems. The role involves working outdoors with installers and site supervisors to complete projects safely, efficiently, and in accordance with design specifications, local codes, and industry standards. The position suits someone with mechanical aptitude who is comfortable working at heights, values quality workmanship, and wants to develop skills in solar installation, electrical work, and construction.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to safely use power tools, hand tools, and basic electrical testing equipment.
• Attention to detail and commitment to safety, quality, and workmanship.
• Ability to work at heights for extended periods, including climbing ladders, working on rooftops, and navigating uneven surfaces.
• Dependable work ethic, punctuality, and reliability.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced, field-based environment.
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including bending, kneeling, standing, and lifting for extended periods.
• Reliable transportation to travel to job sites or the company office as required.
• Ability to work outdoors and lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularly.

Nice To Haves

• One to two years of experience in electrical work, roofing, solar installation, or a related field; experience is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Install solar photovoltaic systems on rooftops and other structures according to design schematics, local building codes, and safety standards.
• Ensure proper system layout, orientation, and alignment for efficiency and compliance.
• Assess job-site safety hazards and structural integrity before and during installation.
• Coordinate with team members and site supervisors to resolve installation challenges and maintain quality standards.
• Maintain accurate installation documentation, including photos and site layouts.
• Complete and submit required paperwork and reports promptly.
• Keep job sites clean, organized, and safe throughout installation.
• Perform additional installation responsibilities and duties as assigned.
