Summer 2027 Software Engineering Internship

T-Mobile•Overland Park, KS

About The Position

T-Mobile offers an 11-week paid learning experience for software engineering interns. Interns work on real projects, build relationships with other interns and company leaders, and receive mentorship from experienced employees. The position supports telephony systems that process customer phone calls and chat interactions handled by AI-powered and human agents. After each interaction, analytics applications transcribe conversations and analyze information such as the reason for contact, issue resolution, and the quality and effectiveness of agent responses. The intern works with existing software applications to refactor and improve code, reducing complexity and improving maintainability and ongoing support. Most applications are backend systems without a graphical user interface. The intern collaborates with and receives mentorship from at least one experienced Software Engineer, gaining hands-on experience with software development best practices and real-world engineering challenges. Relocation assistance is provided to program participants who live more than 50 miles from the internship location. Intern wages range from $27 to $50 per hour; actual pay depends on education and STEM designation.
