About The Position

Requirements

Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science or related majors; must remain enrolled in a degree-seeking program after the internship.
Cumulative 3.0 GPA or above (verified at time of hire).
Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. and not require employment-based sponsorship now or in the future.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with proven ability to collaborate and build relationships.
Demonstrated leadership, problem-solving, and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and eagerness to learn in a dynamic environment.

Work on engineering projects related to development of new products (Advanced Quality).
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support product sustainment (Process Quality).
Perform root cause analysis and implement effective corrective actions (Process Quality).
Work with a variety of tools including CAD for fixture design, root cause analysis methods, LabView, and validation activities (Process Quality).
Be responsible for all things supplier-related (Supplier Quality).
Work closely with suppliers to ensure components and their manufacturing processes meet required standards (Supplier Quality).
Work closely with internal customers from multiple functions, meeting with suppliers frequently, and use both technical and business skills (Supplier Quality).
Work with internal cross-functional teams and external sales team and customers to ensure development and sustainment of products with the highest quality (Quality).
Evaluate risk, ensure customer user needs are met, and help drive craftsmanship, safety, durability and reliability into the product (Quality).
Handle complaints and implement design changes as needed to address quality issues (Quality).
Work with cross-functional teams to identify the needs and goals of future products (Research & Development - New Product Development).
Research new technologies, customer expectations, business requirements and regulations (Research & Development - New Product Development).

Design and build fixtures to simulate real-life situations (Test Lab).
Perform design verification – the quantitative testing of the technical specifications of the product (Test Lab).
Collaborate with Design and Operations to deliver best-in-class new products to market (Manufacturing).
Partner with technicians and engineers to improve Stryker’s manufacturing lines through new fixture development, assembly line process enhancement, implementation of lean manufacturing principles, and improving ergonomics and safety (Manufacturing).
