About The Position
Baton is building an AI-powered marketplace for buying and selling small businesses. The Software Engineer will help scale the platform and improve the experience for buyers and sellers. The role is full-time and hybrid in New York City, with four days onsite each week. The salary range is $180,000–$220,000.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of software engineering experience.
- Strong proficiency in a modern programming language such as Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, or Go.
- Experience with web frameworks and databases.
- Open to visa sponsorship; citizens, green card holders, and visa holders are eligible.
Nice To Haves
- Marketplace or fintech experience.
- AI/ML integration experience.
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain full-stack features for the marketplace.
- Work with AI/ML teams to integrate intelligent matching and valuation.
- Design and implement scalable APIs and services.
- Collaborate with product, design, and data teams.
- Write clean, tested, maintainable code.
