About The Position

We are growing our dev team and are looking for Software Engineers to join us. Our differentiation lies in technology, which we see as the core of our business, not just a support function. We are building two key products: Neuplaner Vision, which acts as the group's second brain, allowing users to ask questions in plain language and receive grounded answers with citations from our own documents, mail, and meetings. Specific workflows are built on top of this, currently at the holding level and soon within individual firms with their own tenants and data. The second product is a tech-enabled talent strategy that makes the capabilities of several hundred advisors visible and usable across all firms, involving a new codebase where you will write the initial lines. Our tech stack includes Python 3.12/FastAPI, PostgreSQL 16 with pgvector, React + TypeScript in strict mode, and direct calls to the Claude API (no LangChain), all on AWS. For the talent codebase, we use Nest.js, Angular, and MongoDB. This role focuses on applied AI engineering, involving model calls rather than model training. The existing codebase is approximately 200,000 lines, with two live installs, real users, and a process of small, reviewed pull requests.

Requirements

• Experience with Python 3.12/FastAPI, PostgreSQL 16 with pgvector, React + TypeScript, AWS, Nest.js, Angular, and MongoDB is a plus, but we can teach FastAPI, pgvector, and LLM APIs.
• No ML background required.
• No prior tax or M&A knowledge required.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with LLM APIs.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain the Neuplaner Vision platform, which includes a natural language query system grounded in company documents, mail, and meetings.
• Build and implement workflows on top of the Neuplaner Vision platform.
• Develop a tech-enabled talent strategy to make advisor capabilities visible and usable across all firms.
• Write the initial lines of code for a new codebase related to the talent strategy.
• Work with a tech stack including Python 3.12/FastAPI, PostgreSQL 16 with pgvector, React + TypeScript, AWS, Nest.js, Angular, and MongoDB.
• Engage in applied AI engineering, focusing on calling AI models rather than training them.
• Participate in code reviews for pull requests.
