About The Position

The Lead Engineer – Mechanical Engineering will lead the design, integration, and interface management of key mechanical drivetrain subsystems. This role is responsible for defining subsystem scope, managing critical interfaces, and driving robust integration across gearbox-related systems, cooling systems, and low speed shaft coupling assemblies. The position requires strong technical leadership, cross-functional collaboration, and disciplined execution to deliver reliable, manufacturable, and serviceable solutions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related engineering discipline from an accredited university or college.
  • Experience in mechanical engineering, subsystem design, or product integration.
  • Demonstrated experience leading technical workstreams or owning complex mechanical assemblies.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical interface management and systems integration.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and technical documentation skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Advanced degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
  • Experience with wind turbine drivetrain systems, gearbox systems, cooling systems, or shaft coupling assemblies.
  • Familiarity with nacelle integration and large rotating equipment.
