Software Engineer, Prediction Markets Platform

Crypto.com•Chicago, IL
•$170,000 - $190,000•Hybrid

About The Position

The Software Engineer will help build and operate the platform that lists and settles event contracts on Crypto.com's CFTC-regulated exchange, covering sports, cryptocurrency, and other real-world events. The platform ingests data from sports and market providers, turns events into tradable contracts, and settles contracts after events conclude, with correctness and auditability as important as speed. The team is moving the platform from Python and Airflow to Go services built around Postgres. The role involves developing and running backend services and durable job processing, building provider integrations, implementing settlement rules, and creating operator tools. The engineer will contribute to design documents and code reviews, own features from design through production, and participate in on-call and production debugging.

  • Understanding of concurrency, idempotency, and failure handling in distributed systems.
  • A record of shipping and running services independently.
