About The Position

Applied Intuition is hiring a Software Engineer for its Maps team to build and maintain web-based rendering and editing tools for high-definition maps used in autonomous vehicles. The role involves developing map visualization tools across the autonomy development process, vehicle types, and real-world and simulation contexts. The tools will visualize standard and high-definition map data, LiDAR point clouds, detailed 3D models, and other data. The map editor is used by Applied Intuition mapping specialists and commercial customers to triage and edit maps. The team also uses its visualization engine to support mapping experiences across the company. The engineer will help build a robust engine for varied use cases, including on-vehicle visualization, and will advise customers on using map visualization to improve product quality and advance autonomy programs. Applied Intuition describes itself as an in-office company. Full-time employees are expected to work primarily from an Applied Intuition office five days a week, with occasional remote work and schedule flexibility. The company was founded in 2017, is valued at $15 billion, and has offices in the United States and several international locations.
