About The Position

The Rendering Operator safely and efficiently supports manufacturing by moving materials, operating equipment, and cleaning equipment. This position works the third shift, 11 p.m. to 7 a.m. Duties include handling materials in the yard and plant, cleaning processing equipment and work areas, operating equipment and a forklift, and supporting the efficient operation of the business. The role requires regular attendance and punctuality, professional and ethical interactions, and adherence to department and company procedures. Other duties may be assigned as business needs evolve.

Requirements

Knowledge of production processes and equipment operation.
Skill in controlling equipment and monitoring its operation.
Ability to move material with or without specialized equipment.
Certified Forklift Operator.
High school graduate or equivalent.
One year of experience in a production setting.
Travel requirement of less than 5%.
Ability to move and transport materials weighing up to 50–60 lbs, with or without specialized lifting, moving, and rigging equipment.
Ability to move across wet, slippery, and uneven surfaces and position oneself to perform duties around industrial equipment.
Ability to work outdoors, ascend and descend heights while maintaining balance, use tools and equipment such as a shovel, and operate a forklift while seated using multilimb coordination.

Responsibilities

Load, unload, and move materials in the yard; shovel loose material into hoppers.
Clean plant work areas, machines, and equipment, including cookers, augers, process tanks, and tankers.
Operate equipment as instructed.
Operate a forklift.
Remove trash from the plant.
Paint equipment as necessary.
Interact with others in a professional and ethical manner.
Follow department and company procedures.
Maintain regular attendance and punctuality.
Perform other duties as assigned to support efficient and effective business operations.
