The Rendering Operator collects production plant waste materials, including animal carcass remains and non-consumables, for byproduct recycling. The process prepares these materials for conversion into usable goods such as bone meal and alternative fuel. The role requires working in environments with pungent odors and temperatures ranging from 100 degrees to -20 degrees. The schedule is 5:00 p.m. to 5:30 a.m., typically four 12-hour days followed by three days off. Weekly hours typically range from 40 to 60 hours, with fluctuations based on the Rendering team's needs. Management may change work hours and days as operational needs require.
