The Rendering Operator collects production plant waste materials, including animal carcass remains and non-consumables, for byproduct recycling. The process prepares byproducts for conversion into usable goods such as bone meal and alternative fuel. The position is not directly part of the harvest or cut process and does not require the use of knives. The operator must be able to work in hot and cold weather and in environments with pungent odors from waste materials and carcass remains. Training may be provided to the right candidate; rendering experience is preferred. The schedule is 5:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., working four 12-hour days followed by three days off. Typical weekly hours range from 40 to 60 hours, with a maximum of 60, and may fluctuate according to the Rendering team's needs. Operations and management set the workdays and hours, which may be changed as required.
