About the position
We are seeking a Software Engineer to join our team at Garner. As a Software Engineer, you will play a crucial role in revolutionizing how people find top doctors in their area and ensure prompt reimbursement of medical claims. Working closely with a talented product and design team, you will contribute to a fast-paced and innovative environment. The ideal candidate should have experience delivering full-stack software, expertise in Python, and familiarity with Flask, SQLAlchemy, Docker, and a major cloud provider. Responsibilities
- Design, build, and launch new features for the Garner app
- Improve the overall quality of the Garner app
- Collaborate with other disciplines to understand user needs and iterate on new ideas
- Ensure user privacy and security through secure coding practices
- Support the Garner app in production
- Deliver full-stack software with 2-4 years of hands-on experience
- Expertise in Python
- Familiarity with Flask, SQLAlchemy, Docker, and a major cloud provider
- Experience with database systems, especially PostgreSQL or ElasticSearch
- Work in a team using agile methodologies
- Fluency with the agile toolkit
- Be part of a mission-driven company that aims to change the healthcare system
- Work in a small, fast-paced team that adapts quickly to new challenges
- Ideate on new features and analyze data to find insights
- Research and work with the latest technologies.
Requirements
- 2-4 years hands-on work delivering full-stack software
- Expertise in Python
- Familiarity with Flask, SQLAlchemy, Docker, and a major cloud provider
- Experience with one or more database systems, especially PostgreSQL or ElasticSearch
- Experience working in a team using agile methodologies and fluency with the agile toolkit
- Mission-driven and interested in changing the healthcare system
- Comfortable working on a small, fast-paced team
- Strong ideation skills and ability to work with data to find insights
- Excited about researching and working with the latest technologies
