About The Position

This role is for 2026 interns who worked in a role this summer. New Net roles will open in September. The Software Engineer II will execute scoped feature or model delivery through collaborative engineering teams, owning implementation, iteration, testing, and support for assigned services, APIs, user interfaces, or ML model components. They will participate in the discovery phase of small- to medium-sized projects to develop high-level design in partnership with product, UX, and business teams. The role involves writing clean, efficient, and reliable code using various languages, driving the full software development lifecycle including CI/CD, automated testing, observability, monitoring, and maintenance. Additionally, the engineer will build automation scripts, integrate AI agents and ML components, leverage GenAI tools, and apply object-oriented programming principles. They will translate requirements into technical designs, evaluate trade-offs for scalable systems, and provide guidance to small groups of engineers. The role also includes engaging stakeholders to define problems, translating pain points into technical requirements, and defining success metrics. DevOps responsibilities include conducting maintenance and monitoring application performance, ensuring adherence to project milestones. Technical ownership, sound technical judgment, adaptability to change, and strong collaboration skills are essential. The engineer will proactively seek opportunities for innovation and continuous improvement, demonstrating expertise and applying it to action plans, supporting business solutions, and modeling compliance with company policies.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, computer information systems, software engineering, or related area.
• 3 years’ experience in software engineering or related area.

Responsibilities

• Executes scoped feature or model delivery through collaborative engineering teams.
• Owns implementation, iteration, testing, and support for assigned services, APIs, user interfaces, or ML model components.
• Participates in the discovery phase of small- to medium-sized projects to develop high-level design in partnership with product, UX, and business teams.
• Writes clean, efficient, and reliable code using languages such as JavaScript, TypeScript, Python, Java, Rust, Dart, and C++.
• Drives full software development lifecycle, including CI/CD deployments, automated testing, observability, monitoring, and maintenance.
• Builds scripts for the automation of repetitive tasks and implements telemetry features independently.
• Integrates AI agents and ML components using internal and external APIs.
• Leverages GenAI tools such as GitHub Copilot to enhance development velocity and innovation.
• Applies object-oriented programming principles and documentation-based coding practices to ensure modularity and maintainability.
• Translates requirements into technical designs and evaluates trade-offs for scalable, secure, and maintainable systems.
• Assists in converting high-level designs into detailed designs using mock screens, pseudo code, and functional logic.
• Provides guidance to small groups of engineers (2–3), including offshore associates.
• Engages stakeholders to identify and break down complex business or user problems.
• Translates pain points into actionable technical requirements and defines metrics to measure solution success.
• Conducts complex maintenance procedures and monitors application performance using appropriate metrics.
• Ensures adherence to project milestones and timelines through program reporting and logging tools.
