About The Position

This role is for 2026 interns who worked in a role this summer. New Net roles will open in September. The Software Engineer II will execute scoped feature or model delivery through collaborative engineering teams, owning implementation, iteration, testing, and support for assigned services, APIs, user interfaces, or ML model components. They will participate in the discovery phase of small- to medium-sized projects to develop high-level design in partnership with product, UX, and business teams. The role involves writing clean, efficient, and reliable code, driving the full software development lifecycle, integrating AI agents and ML components, and leveraging GenAI tools. Additionally, the engineer will translate requirements into technical designs, provide guidance to small groups of engineers, engage stakeholders to define problems and requirements, monitor application performance, and demonstrate technical ownership and judgment. The role requires adaptability, strong collaboration skills, and a commitment to innovation and continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, computer information systems, software engineering, or related area.
  • 3 years’ experience in software engineering or related area.

Responsibilities

  • Executes scoped feature or model delivery through collaborative engineering teams.
  • Owns implementation, iteration, testing, and support for assigned services, APIs, user interfaces, or ML model components.
  • Participates in the discovery phase of small- to medium-sized projects to develop high-level design in partnership with product, UX, and business teams.
  • Writes clean, efficient, and reliable code using languages such as JavaScript, TypeScript, Python, Java, Rust, Dart, and C++.
  • Drives full software development lifecycle, including CI/CD deployments, automated testing, observability, monitoring, and maintenance.
  • Builds scripts for the automation of repetitive tasks and implements telemetry features independently.
  • Integrates AI agents and ML components using internal and external APIs.
  • Leverages GenAI tools such as GitHub Copilot to enhance development velocity and innovation.
  • Applies object-oriented programming principles and documentation-based coding practices to ensure modularity and maintainability.
  • Translates requirements into technical designs and evaluates trade-offs for scalable, secure, and maintainable systems.
  • Assists in converting high-level designs into detailed designs using mock screens, pseudo code, and functional logic.
  • Provides guidance to small groups of engineers (2–3), including offshore associates.
  • Engages stakeholders to identify and break down complex business or user problems.
  • Translates pain points into actionable technical requirements and defines metrics to measure solution success.
  • Conducts complex maintenance procedures and monitors application performance using appropriate metrics.
