About The Position

Braze is hiring a Software Engineer II to join its User Targeting team, which builds the systems customers use to segment and target users. The team’s pipelines process billions of users per day, and the role contributes to a high-impact, customer-facing area of the product. You will build and own features in a complex, high-scale segmentation system, develop new segmentation capabilities, and help improve system performance and cost. The team uses AI tools throughout product delivery to work with its Ruby monolith, develop proofs of concept, and move efficiently from requests to working solutions. The position involves full-stack work across Ruby on Rails and React, ownership of medium-sized projects, and collaboration with product managers, designers, and engineering teams. You will work with data in MongoDB and ClickHouse, write automated tests, review code, and participate in an on-call rotation. The role offers opportunities to build expertise in large-scale data systems.

  • Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other engineering teams to clarify requirements and deliver customer-focused features.
