•$104,400 - $176,040•Hybrid

About The Position

Braze is seeking a Software Engineer II to join its User Targeting team, which builds and maintains the systems customers use to segment and target users. The team works on a core, high-impact part of the product: messaging pipelines that process billions of users per day. In this role, you will build and own features for a complex, high-scale segmentation system. You will develop new segmentation capabilities, improve system performance and cost, and expand your expertise in large-scale data systems. The work spans a Ruby on Rails backend and a React frontend, and includes design review, implementation, testing, and production rollout. You will own medium-sized projects, collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineering teams, and participate in the on-call rotation. The team extensively incorporates AI into its daily development workflow, using agentic tools to navigate its Ruby monolith, build proof of concepts, and move efficiently and safely from requests to working solutions. Braze offers hybrid ways of working and a Total Rewards package that may include equity, retirement and employee stock purchase plans, flexible paid time off, comprehensive benefits, family services, professional development, and community engagement opportunities.
