About The Position
This opportunity entails contributing to the design, development, and testing of software solutions under the guidance of more experienced engineers. The new graduate will gain hands-on experience with modern development tools and practices, participate in Agile workflows, and collaborate with team members to deliver functional and maintainable code. The role focuses on building foundational technical skills and understanding the software development lifecycle in a collaborative environment. This opportunity is for current or previous HNTB interns only.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field, or four years of relevant experience in lieu of education.
- Familiarity with programming languages such as Python, C#, JavaScript, or Java.
- Familiarity with web application frameworks such as React, Angular, Blazor, or .NET.
- Exposure to Agile development and version control tools such as Jira and Git.
- Understanding of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
Nice To Haves
- Internship or project experience in software development.
Responsibilities
- Write, test, and debug software using modern programming languages and frameworks.
- Collaborate with team members to understand requirements and deliver functional code.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives.
- Contribute to code reviews and follow established coding standards and practices.
- Learn and apply version control, testing, and documentation best practices.
- Assist in troubleshooting and resolving software defects.
- Continuously develop technical skills through mentorship and hands-on experience.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
