About The Position

This opportunity entails conducting on-site construction inspections for projects supporting HNTB clients. The role provides inspection services to verify compliance with plans and specifications, prepares required contract documentation, and follows prescribed Quality Assurance and Quality Control procedures. This position is for current or former HNTB interns only.

Requirements

• High school diploma/GED or equivalent and one year of construction experience.
• All required jurisdictional certificates and state requirements.

Nice To Haves

• Previous HNTB internship experience.

Responsibilities

• Observe, document, and verify construction contractor work in progress to ensure compliance with contract documents and plans.
• Confirm that procedures are followed and materials used conform to specifications.
• Use engineering inspection practices to perform rudimentary mathematical calculations and measurements of completed work.
• Maintain the Inspector's daily report of assigned work activities, contractor labor and equipment, and quantities of material received and verified.
• Assist with on-site material testing and produce as-constructed sketches as required.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
