Software Engineer, Customer Studio Backend

Hightouch is seeking a product-minded backend engineer to join their team and contribute to their fast-growing product, Customer Studio. This role will involve diving deep into backend and distributed systems, as well as thinking holistically about architecture, scalability, maintainability, and reliability. The ideal candidate should have strong customer and product thinking skills, be comfortable writing and engaging with product specs, and have the potential to make a significant impact. • Building upon Reverse ETL's ability to use SQL to sync data to any SaaS tool
• Developing and maintaining a purpose-built no-code suite of features for Customer Studio
• Diving deep into backend and distributed systems
• Thinking holistically about architecture, scalability, maintainability, and reliability
• Writing and engaging with product specs
• Optimizing data warehouse performance, including query optimization and pre-computed state storage
• Helping customers build segments and decide what data to sync
• Facilitating experimentation to downstream tools and tracking audience performance
• Exploring real-time audience computation and syncing as warehouses become more real-time
• Working on generative AI to enhance user workflows

• Comfortable diving deep into backend and distributed systems

• Salary range of $170,000 - $240,000 USD per year
