Software Engineer, Backend Mission Services (Prime)
About The Position
Intelliforce is hiring a Software Engineer, Backend Mission Services to support its prime program and a backend platform for compliant storage and access to analytic results. The platform exposes APIs that support broader enterprise outcomes and integrates with analytic systems and presentation tools across the enterprise. The role involves designing, developing, maintaining, and operating secure backend services. The engineer will build and sustain Java and Spring microservices, work in Kubernetes-based and other containerized environments, support production monitoring, and maintain APIs connecting ANSWERLAKE with analytic and presentation systems. The work also offers exposure to CI/CD, data indexing, NiFi-based ingestion, and cloud infrastructure. This position supports mission work in a secure, on-site environment. The engineer will collaborate with software, platform, data, and mission teams and contribute to production reliability, system sustainment, documentation, and Agile development activities. An active Top Secret clearance with Full Scope Polygraph and U.S. citizenship are required; the company cannot sponsor clearances or visas.

- Experience developing and supporting backend software in mission or enterprise environments.
- Experience working collaboratively on multidisciplinary technical teams.
- Ability to work effectively in a secure, on-site mission environment.
- Experience using the Linux command-line interface.
- Experience developing microservices using Java and Spring.
- Experience with containerization technologies, including Docker and containerd.
- Experience with Kubernetes.
- Experience using Grafana and Prometheus for system monitoring.
- Experience using Git for version control.
- Strong backend software development fundamentals.
- Experience troubleshooting software and platform issues.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills.

Responsibilities
