Volley is seeking a creative and product-focused engineer to join their team and help build exciting games in voice entertainment. The role involves shipping new features, improving the user experience, and collaborating with product designers. Responsibilities
- Shipping new features to millions of users
- Improving the end-user experience
- Collaborating with world-class product designers
- Working on products that reach millions of active users
- Working on best-in-class voice-controlled products that are social, engaging, and fun to play
- Taking advantage of the powerful engine to build and iterate quickly
- Focusing on writing logic, not boilerplate
- Creating well-designed APIs that are consumed by all sorts of platforms
- Building consumer-facing apps or games at scale
- Architecting, implementing, and documenting multi-platform APIs
- Managing Automation & Deployment
- Contributing to open-source frameworks
- Operating in environments with fast development cycles focused on rapid product iteration
- Being part of a high-performing engineering team
- Onboarding with Typescript, the engine, and the deployment infrastructure
- Getting to know the immediate team, as well as partners in product, design, and data
- Deploying lots of new experiments, features, and fixes into production
- Working directly with the product to improve conversion, retention, and monetization for some of the most beloved games in the world.
Requirements
- 3-5 years of professional coding experience
- Experience with modern NodeJS and/or Typescript or other strongly typed languages
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
