Senior Software Engineer

Volley is seeking an engineering leader to join their product engineering team. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to product quality, well-designed software, and robust architecture. They will be responsible for shipping features that enhance the end-user experience while ensuring high levels of software quality. Additionally, the candidate will mentor and support the technical growth of engineers on their team and promote work-life balance. This role offers a hybrid work arrangement with on-site attendance in the Bay Area.

Collaborate with UX experts, designers, and data analysts to deliver products quickly and effectively

Build consumer-facing apps or games at scale

Operate in environments with fast development cycles focused on rapid product iteration

Be part of a high-performing engineering team

Work with audio, voice, or other emerging technologies

Lead a product- and experience-focused software development team

Have experience with modern NodeJS and/or Typescript or other strongly typed languages

Have a passion for entertainment and/or games

Onboard into Volley's engine and deployment infrastructure

Take the lead on product roadmap discussions with the product manager

Familiarize yourself with the project architecture and lay out a technical roadmap

Deploy new experiments, features, and fixes into production

Work directly with the product to improve conversion, retention, and monetization for games

• 6+ years of professional coding experience
• Experience leading a product- and experience-focused software development team
• Experience with modern NodeJS and/or Typescript or other strongly typed languages
• Passion for entertainment and/or games
