About The Position
This is a fully remote freelance/contract consulting opportunity for experienced Software Developers contributing professional software engineering expertise to advanced AI training and evaluation initiatives. The role spans application development, software architecture, code review, technical documentation, and evaluation of AI-generated programming materials. Professionals will design and evaluate software solutions, review complex codebases, assess architectural decisions, and produce technical explanations grounded in real-world programming experience. Prior experience with AI training projects is not required. Assignments may include code review, software design evaluation, technical documentation, programming examples, and assessment of AI-generated solutions. Deliverables may include reviewed code, technical explanations, architecture assessments, and documented recommendations. The work involves independent contribution and remote collaboration with engineers, developers, technical reviewers, and multidisciplinary project contributors. Compensation is $50–$70 per hour, and 15 openings are available.
Requirements
- Strong professional experience in software development, software engineering, or related technical consulting roles.
- Demonstrated proficiency in at least one relevant programming language or development specialization.
- Strong understanding of modern software engineering principles, application development, and coding best practices.
- Practical experience designing, developing, testing, and maintaining software applications.
- Experience working with complex codebases and evaluating software implementation quality.
- Strong knowledge of software architecture, system design, and scalable application development.
- Familiarity with backend systems, APIs, application integrations, and relevant full-stack technologies.
- Demonstrated expertise in code review, debugging, and technical problem-solving.
- Ability to identify programming errors, architectural weaknesses, and maintainability concerns.
- Experience producing and maintaining clear, comprehensive, and accessible technical documentation.
- Strong understanding of performance considerations, software reliability, and maintainable coding practices.
- Ability to analyze technical requirements and develop effective implementation strategies.
- Excellent analytical reasoning, critical-thinking, and structured problem-solving capabilities.

- Create structured reference explanations illustrating appropriate development approaches and technical decisions.
- Provide expert feedback to improve AI performance on software development, code review, and engineering problem-solving tasks.
- Develop and review technical documentation covering architectures, implementation decisions, and development workflows.
- Explain programming concepts, code structures, and engineering recommendations clearly.
- Collaborate remotely with technical contributors to review requirements, clarify issues, and improve deliverables.
