About The Position

This remote freelance consulting opportunity is for experienced US-based inpatient medical coders to contribute coding expertise to AI training and evaluation initiatives. The work involves reviewing inpatient medical records, assessing diagnostic and procedural coding accuracy, evaluating AI-generated clinical documentation, and identifying inconsistencies in medical coding workflows. It combines healthcare coding, clinical data interpretation, documentation analysis, application of coding guidelines, and structured quality assessment to improve the accuracy and reliability of AI systems used in clinical coding and medical record processing. Assignments may include inpatient medical record review, diagnosis and procedure coding assessment, clinical documentation integrity review, validation of medical record abstraction, and evaluation of AI-generated clinical notes, summaries, and coding outputs. Work may also include entering and assessing AI-generated information in designated inpatient and outpatient medical record systems, and providing clear written explanations and structured feedback. Tasks are performed remotely through designated project tools. Prior experience with AI systems is not required. Work must not use confidential or proprietary information belonging to an employer, client, institution, or other third party. The engagement is freelance/contract, fully remote within the United States, pays $50–$70 per hour, and requires availability of at least 10 hours per week. The posting notes 50 available openings. The opportunity is available through 24-MAG LLC, which connects professionals with remote consulting opportunities.
