About The Position
Mainspring Energy manufactures fuel-flexible, low-emissions local power solutions. As the company expands deployment of its Linear Generators, software updates across the fleet are important to product reliability and customer success. The Software Deployment Operations Manager will work with cross-functional teams to plan, coordinate, and execute software deployments, and help scale the deployment process to meet the business’s growing needs. The role leads the deployment team and supports ongoing operations and commissioning of new power generators.
Requirements
- At least 6 years of experience, including at least 3 years of management experience.
- Management experience that includes remote employees and contractors.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Self-directed systems thinker who can create or improve effective engineering processes.
- Strong communication skills and demonstrated collaboration across multidisciplinary teams.
- Experience working with embedded Linux systems and distributed systems.
- Knowledge of software development and deployment principles.
- Ability to translate complexity into structured procedures for repeated execution.
- Ability to coordinate across teams.
- Experience working in a dynamic engineering environment where systems and processes are evolving rapidly.

- Strong understanding of electrical system concepts and components.

Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage software deployment requests for ongoing operations and commissioning new power generators.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to turn software release roadmaps and business objectives into long-range and capacity plans for software deployment technicians.
- Understand upcoming software changes and translate them into updated deployment procedures.
- Track and report software deployment progress and outcomes, including periodically reporting key operating success metrics to leadership.
- Refine deployment procedures and recommend continuous improvements to the software deployment process.
- Ensure new software innovations and improvements are delivered to customers.
