About The Position

VDS is recruiting a Deployment Operations Manager for a leading defense-technology company. The role owns how one business line’s hardware and software systems are shipped, installed, supported, and returned from sites around the world. The position is direct hire and full time, with a base salary of $129,000–$171,000 plus equity, up to 20% travel, and a requirement to be eligible for a U.S. Secret clearance.

Requirements

At least 5 years of experience in operations, logistics, supply chain, or program management, including international work.
A record of managing several complex projects simultaneously, ideally in hardware or manufacturing.
Strong scheduling and people-leadership skills.
Confidence working directly with customers and government personnel.
Sound judgment when plans change quickly.
Must be eligible for a U.S. Secret clearance.

Responsibilities

Plan and run deployments for the business line, from initial shipment through final return.
Coordinate growth, engineering, and technical operations teams to keep field schedules on track.
Write deployment plans and keep internal leaders and government customers informed.
Lead a small team of operations and logistics associates.
Identify and address process gaps using JIRA, NetSuite, and Slack.
