About The Position

The Softlines Associate is responsible for enhancing Members’ shopping experience and driving sales by providing courteous, proactive support. The role helps ensure apparel and home areas are well maintained, have appealing displays, and are inviting to shop. The associate assists Members with product selection and transactions, maintains sales-floor presentation and readiness, and supports store initiatives and service standards.

Requirements

Basic reading, arithmetic, writing, and oral communication skills.
Ability to work while standing for long periods.
Ability to lift and hold bulky or large merchandise weighing up to 50 pounds.
Ability to perform job-related physical movements, including reaching, stretching, grabbing, pushing, lifting, holding, twisting, bending, turning, walking, and shifting.
Associates under age 18 may not use freight elevators, ladders, compactors, balers, or hazardous or similar equipment, or perform backroom functions.
Basic Internet navigation skills.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Less than one year of related experience.
Must be at least 16 years of age.

Retail experience.

Responsibilities

Enhance the Member experience at every touchpoint by prioritizing service, identifying needs, and recommending appropriate solutions.
Understand the benefits of Shop Your Way, credit and leasing, warranties, and protection plans.
Greet Members professionally and engagingly, provide a Member First experience, and support local Shop Your Way initiatives.
Accurately and efficiently complete Member transactions, including sales, returns, and exchanges, using POS and online systems and authorized processes.
Help Members locate and select products, including walking them to store areas as needed.
Use Web to Store, Store to Home, and other integrated retail processes to improve the shopping experience.
Set non-promotional, promotional, seasonal, store-wide, and event signage when assigned; complete promotional ad setup and takedown accurately.
Maintain the sales floor according to national merchandising and presentation standards.
Assist store leadership with resolving or facilitating the resolution of Member issues.
Complete merchandise support tasks during non-peak hours, such as maintaining fitting rooms and straightening merchandise.
Stay current on upcoming events, product updates, selling process requirements, and company and business initiatives.
Follow merchandise protection standards.
Keep the department ready throughout the day and ensure the sales floor is easy to shop, in stock, clean, signed, and organized.
Perform other duties as assigned.
