Softgel Operator I - 2nd Shift
About The Position
This is an entry-level position supporting Softgel Operations under close supervision. The role involves cleaning equipment, spreading Softgel capsules onto trays, operating the Softgel drying tunnel, and sorting capsules. Work must follow departmental Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP). The position is scheduled for the second shift, 3:30 PM to 12:00 AM, Monday through Friday. The operator helps maintain clean, organized, and compliant production areas and supports continuous drying operations by preparing trays and supplies, loading and unloading capsules, and monitoring product quality. The position requires successful completion of an OSHA-compliant Respirator Fit Test and flexibility to work extended hours when required.
Requirements
- At least 1 year of related experience.
- Successful completion of an OSHA-compliant Respirator Fit Test.
- Adherence to departmental SOPs and current cGMP.

- High school or GED curriculum is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Evenly spread Softgel capsules onto trays to support optimal drying.
- Maintain an adequate supply of tray paper and empty trays at the rear of the dryer.
- Clean and maintain processing equipment, tools, and production areas in accordance with SOPs.
- Keep clean rooms and process areas organized, tidy, and compliant with cleanliness and hygiene standards.
- Notify machine operators about poor-quality Softgel capsules or malfunctioning machine components.
- Assist machine operators by checking medicine or gelatin temperature as needed.
- Keep lubricant buckets filled and available for machine operation.
- Load and unload Softgel capsules onto trays for drying.
- Replace towels in drying baskets as required and properly stack and arrange trays in drying tunnels.
- Inspect Softgel capsules for physical defects, including irregular shapes, leaks, and other abnormalities.
- Operate the Softgel sorting machine according to product specifications in the batch record.
- Abide by Amneal’s current rules and regulations.
- Work extended hours when required.
- Perform other functions as assigned.
