About The Position
VitalHire is hiring a travel Social Worker (MSW) for an acute care hospital in Mission Viejo, California. The assignment is 13 weeks, with a weekly pay rate of $2,173. Eligible travelers may receive a housing and meals stipend of up to $1,995 per week. The schedule is a day shift, five 8-hour shifts, from 8:00 to 16:30. The position has two openings and requires floating to the Laguna facility. The caseload is 20–23 patients. This assignment does not accept first-time travelers. The workweek is five days, with department operations occurring seven days per week; days off vary and are not guaranteed to be consecutive. Overtime is paid at 1.3% when hours exceed eight regular hours in a day or 40 regular hours in a week.
Requirements
- At least one full year of acute care experience is required.
- One to two years of recent MSW experience.
- An MSW degree.
- Active license or certification for California and the MSW specialty; compact credentials are accepted where applicable.
- BLS certification if required.
- First-time travelers are not accepted.
