About The Position

Children’s Minnesota is seeking a full-time Clinical Social Worker to provide care and services in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit at its Minneapolis campus. The role is part of a skilled medical and multidisciplinary care team and partners with families as they experience expected and unexpected health-related changes. The Social Work team is grounded in health equity and trauma-informed services, serving local families as well as those traveling from a distance for intensive care. The Social Work department provides emotional support and counseling to children and families, including crisis intervention, adjustment support, grief and loss counseling, mental health assessments, case coordination, community advocacy support, and short-term therapeutic interventions.

Requirements

Master’s degree in social work required.
Minnesota State LGSW or LICSW license required; LICSW preferred.
Experience providing crisis intervention.
Two years of counseling experience in a health care-related setting, or two years of experience in a pediatric-related setting, or completion of a graduate internship in either setting.
Knowledge of community resources.
Ability to provide clear documentation.
