About The Position

North Vista Hospital is seeking a Social Worker II to provide support and clinical services to patients and their significant others across pediatric, adolescent, adult, and older adult populations. The role includes emotional support, crisis intervention, counseling, information and referrals, and assistance connecting patients and families with financial and supportive services related to hospitalization, illness, disability, or trauma.

The Social Worker II provides case and milieu management, completes psychosocial assessments, contributes to the development and reevaluation of treatment plans, collaborates as part of a multidisciplinary team, and coordinates discharge planning. The role also requires completing necessary documentation and maintaining a clinical record for each client throughout their stay.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in a social work field.
• Active Master Social Worker license (LMSW) in the State of Nevada.
• Obtain BLS within 90 days of hire and keep it current.
• At least one year of inpatient or outpatient experience, with an emphasis in mental health care.
• Experience working with a diverse population and a wide range of problems, such as death and dying, maternal and childcare, substance abuse, disability, and chronic illness.

Responsibilities
