About The Position

The Gallery of Iconic Guitars at Belmont University is seeking a Social Media Student Assistant to help manage their social media accounts. This role involves maintaining brand standards, planning and scheduling content using a social media calendar and management platform, creating graphics in Canva, compiling social media analytics, and contributing photo and video content. The assistant will also monitor media interactions, represent the gallery at events, and assist with social media campaigns to increase followers and engagement. Additional duties may be assigned based on student interest and gallery needs.

Requirements

Specifically looking for Thursday morning availability.
Strong writing skills and social media content creation.
Must have knowledge in various social media platforms such as Instagram and Facebook.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Accountability to consistently meet deadlines.
Must have FWS Award to apply.
Must be enrolled as a student at Belmont University.

Nice To Haves

Experience with videography, photography, and/or graphic design.
Writing for publication and/or professional social media content creation is preferred.
Design communication, photography, videography, or any combination of these is preferred.

Responsibilities

Assist with the management of Gallery of Iconic Guitars social media accounts.
Maintain brand standards of the gallery.
Utilize the Social Media & Marketing Calendar and Social Media Management Platform to plan and schedule consistent social media communications.
Create graphics using Canva to promote upcoming programs and events.
Assist with compiling analytics for social media.
Contribute picture and video content for social media.
Responsible for monitoring media interactions as related to the gallery accounts.
Represent the Gallery of Iconic Guitars at events as needed.
Assist with initiating and implementing social media campaigns, contests, and other initiatives in order to increase followers and engagement across platforms.
Other duties to be discussed based on student interest and needs of gallery.
