About The Position

Gabb is seeking a Social Media Specialist to manage and grow its social media presence, targeting parents who are navigating technology introduction for their children. This role involves owning creative planning, content development, execution, and measurement across all social platforms. The specialist will be responsible for assessing performance, building systems and workflows, and transforming social channels into a growth engine. The position reports to the VP of Growth and collaborates with various internal teams.

Requirements

  • 2–4 years of hands-on social media management experience for a brand, with demonstrated ownership of a brand’s social presence across multiple platforms.
  • Proven ability to create platform-native content that drives engagement, including strong copywriting, visual sensibility, and comfort with short-form video production.
  • Fluency in social media management and analytics tools: Meta Business Suite, TikTok Analytics, Google Analytics, and scheduling platforms such as Sprout Social, Later, or Hootsuite.
  • Experience building content calendars, defining KPIs, and reporting on performance with a data-informed mindset.
  • Strong written communication skills with the ability to write in a brand voice that is warm, clear, and parent-focused.
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • A builder mentality, seeing gaps as opportunities and creating structure.
  • Creatively resourceful, able to produce high-quality content with lean resources and knowing when to seek additional support.
  • Data-informed approach, connecting content decisions to measurable outcomes and adjusting based on data.

Responsibilities

  • Audit and evolve Gabb’s social media strategy, assessing current performance, content mix, posting cadence, and audience engagement, then defining a roadmap with measurable targets.
  • Develop and maintain a content calendar aligned with marketing priorities, product launches, seasonal campaigns, and brand themes.
  • Define and track KPIs across platforms including impressions, engagement rate, click-through rate, follower growth, share of voice, and attributed conversions.
  • Build repeatable processes and workflows for content ideation, production, review, and publishing.
  • Produce engaging, platform-native content (text, images, short-form video, stories, reels) across Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube, Pinterest, and emerging platforms.
  • Write compelling copy tailored to parents, maintaining a warm, clear, and mission-aligned brand voice.
  • Adapt content format and tone for each platform while ensuring brand consistency.
  • Partner with designers, videographers, and external creators for high-quality asset production.
  • Actively monitor and engage with the Gabb community across all platforms, responding to comments and direct messages.
  • Identify and cultivate relationships with parent influencers, family-focused creators, and brand advocates.
  • Develop strategies to grow Gabb’s social following organically, prioritizing engagement quality.
  • Track, measure, and analyze performance across all social channels using native and third-party tools.
  • Deliver regular performance reports to marketing leadership, including insights and recommendations.
  • Run experiments such as A/B testing creative formats, posting times, copy approaches, and audience targeting.
  • Stay current on platform algorithm changes, emerging formats, and social media trends, translating insights into actionable recommendations.
  • Collaborate with content, brand, and product marketing teams to amplify broader marketing campaigns and product launches.
  • Support paid social efforts by sharing insights on organic content resonance to inform paid targeting and ad creative.
  • Work with customer support and community teams to identify recurring themes, sentiment shifts, and content opportunities from social conversations.
