About The Position

Pacific BMW is hiring a Social Media Manager to transform and elevate our social media presence. We are looking for someone who can develop strategy, create original content, and grow an engaged audience that reflects our business. We look to expand our reach, drive brand awareness, and deepen brand affinity without losing the trust and community we have built with our existing customers. This position reports to the Business Systems Manager and will work closely with sales, service, and leadership teams across the dealership.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of hands-on social media experience managing and growing brand or business accounts
  • Proven ability to shoot and edit short-form video independently
  • Photo editing and basic graphic design skills (Canva, Adobe Suite, or similar)
  • Strong writing capabilities including copy for captions, scripts, and community responses
  • Strong knowledge of social platforms including algorithmic and platform shifts, culture and trend cycles, and the creator landscape
  • Experience using analytics tools (Meta Business Suite, TikTok Analytics, YouTube Studio, or similar)

Nice To Haves

  • Experience growing accounts that were starting from a small or underdeveloped baseline
  • Familiarity with or genuine interest in cars, automotive culture, or the BMW brand

Responsibilities

  • Develop and own a social media strategy focused on organic growth, community building, engagement, and audience expansion
  • Identify content opportunities, cultural moments, and platform trends that are relevant to our brand and audience
  • Define and maintain a consistent brand voice that is warm, credible, and distinct
  • Track social media metrics, make data-informed decisions, and provide reporting to stakeholders
  • Collaborate with customer facing employees to build to their social media profiles in ways that also builds the Pacific BMW brand
  • Provide competitive analysis as needed
  • Concept, shoot, edit, and publish original short-form video content for Instagram, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, and Facebook
  • Create and maintain a content calendar with a consistent publishing cadence across all active platforms
  • Develop hooks, scripts, and formats (including photo carousels and graphics) that aligns with brand guidelines while holding audience attention
  • Capture live content at events
  • Build a content mix that serves multiple audiences relevant to the brand
  • Monitor and respond to social comments, DMs, and mentions to build online community and reinforce positive brand sentiment.
  • Engage proactively with the local Glendale community, BMW enthusiast communities, and relevant cultural conversations
  • Work directly with sales, service, finance, and leadership teams to surface stories, moments, and content opportunities from inside the dealership
  • Provide social platform education across departments as needed
