About The Position

The Social Media Coordinator maintains North Fork Mono Casinos' digital presence and develops distinctive, engaging content for its social media platforms. The role calls for creative thinking, strong storytelling, comfort on camera, and the ability to respond quickly to trends and engagement opportunities. The coordinator creates and publishes content, supports social media strategy through performance analysis, and helps ensure consistent casino branding. Work is performed in accordance with company standards, policies, and procedures, and the position reports directly to the Digital Marketing Manager. Work is performed on site in Madera, California, typically in an office environment, but may also take place in areas that are unusually hot, cold, noisy, smoky, or confined. The role involves regular contact with team members and guests and care of the assigned work area. Hours may vary and can include overtime, evenings, weekends, and holidays. Duties may include trained chemical usage. Qualified Native American applicants are given preference over non-Native American applicants when they meet the minimum qualifications. Duties may be changed, expanded, reduced, or delegated to meet business needs.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
At least two years of experience in social media marketing and content creation.
Must be at least 21 years of age.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a Gaming License from the Tribal Gaming Commission, including passing a background investigation.
Comfort on camera and ability to bring energy, personality, and authenticity to content.
Knowledge of social media platforms and best practices, and interest in keeping up with trends.
Creativity, imagination, and innovation.
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate with other departments.
Ability to analyze consumer metrics, reports, and trends.
Proficiency with photo and video editing software such as Adobe Creative Cloud or Canva.
Manual dexterity to perform job-related functions.
Ability to sit, stand, or walk for the duration of a shift.
Ability to perform duties involving standing, walking, lifting, reaching, pushing, pulling, and grasping.

Responsibilities

Practice, support, and promote North Fork Mono Casino's culture and demonstrate exemplary Service Standards.
Conceptualize and create original content, including videos, social posts, photography, and behind-the-scenes storytelling.
Appear on camera for content and engage authentically with guests and team members.
Respond quickly to trends, news, and engagement opportunities with timely content ideas.
Collaborate with the Digital Marketing Manager to develop and implement a social media content calendar.
Produce, shoot, and edit video and photography content for social media platforms.
Write captions, headlines, and other copy intended to attract attention and encourage engagement.
Monitor and analyze social media performance and use results to optimize content strategies.
Work with influencers, brand ambassadors, internal teams, the creative team, and vendors to extend brand reach and optimize campaign performance.
Maintain brand consistency and an engaging, professional voice across digital touchpoints.
Cover live events, promotions, and on-site experiences and capture them in real time.
Provide performance insights and recommendations for improvement.
Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
