•$140,000 - $200,000•Onsite

About The Position

Foundry Robotics is an AI-native robotics manufacturing company building advanced assembly and production capabilities for robotics companies and national-security-critical hardware. Its mission is to rebuild American manufacturing as an AI-first, assembly-focused, dual-use contract manufacturer. The Social Media & Brand Voice Lead will own Foundry’s social presence, with X as the first priority, and shape the company’s voice across its website, job descriptions, customer materials, launches, and internal communications. The role will partner closely with the founder to support consistent posting in his own voice, while turning activity on the Emeryville shop floor into content that attracts customers, candidates, and investors. This is a 100% in-person role in Emeryville, California. The position offers a base salary of $140,000–$200,000, equity for eligible roles subject to Board approval, and benefits including comprehensive health, dental, and vision coverage and generous paid time off.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of experience in social media, content, or brand work, including personally owning posting for a period of time rather than briefing an agency.
  • Specific experience and focus on X.
  • A company X account personally managed by the applicant, which the applicant is willing to share.
  • Strong writing skills, especially the ability to communicate a technical point effectively in short-form writing.
  • Sound judgment about tone and the ability to distinguish confident brand communication from communication that feels forced.
  • Experience writing in another person’s voice, ideally a founder’s, while preserving that person’s character.
  • Ability to shoot and edit phone video to a publishable standard.
  • Technical curiosity and ability to understand and clearly explain the activity of a robotic cell.
  • Willingness to work in person in Emeryville, California.

Nice To Haves

  • Background in hardware, robotics, manufacturing, defense technology, or industrials.

  • Experience building a brand voice from close to nothing.
  • Design sense or the ability to work effectively with designers.
  • Ability to provide three examples of posts the applicant is proud of.

Responsibilities

  • Set the X strategy, manage the company account, establish a consistent posting rhythm, and participate in relevant conversations in physical AI, manufacturing, and defense technology.
  • Work directly with the founder on his X presence by developing drafts, prompts, and angles and supporting a consistent posting cadence while preserving his voice.
  • Create and maintain a tone-of-voice guide and ensure consistent Foundry messaging across job descriptions, website copy, decks, customer materials, and internal announcements.
  • Shoot and edit short-form video on the shop floor and write social posts, launch announcements, customer stories, and technical explainers.
  • Manage other channels, including LinkedIn, YouTube, and the website blog, prioritizing channels appropriately.
  • Measure performance, focusing on follower quality, candidate and customer inbound, and the impact of posts; report monthly on results and discontinue ineffective approaches.
  • Partner with engineers and operators to develop stories and collaborate with the Events Coordinator so the show floor and social feed communicate a consistent story.

Benefits

  • Equity-based compensation for eligible roles, subject to Board of Director approval.
  • Comprehensive health coverage.
  • Dental coverage.
  • Vision coverage.
  • Generous paid time off.
