About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time SOC Operator at a bio research site in South San Francisco, California. The role serves and safeguards clients by monitoring and patrolling assigned areas, maintaining a visible security presence, supporting a welcoming environment, and providing customer service. The operator conducts routine and random rounds, responds to alarms, incidents, and critical situations, communicates with visitors and staff, monitors access points, reports unusual activity and hazards, and completes required reports and logs. The stated schedule is Saturday and Sunday, 3:00 PM–11:00 PM. Pay is $29.42 per hour.

Requirements

At least one year of security-related experience.
At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation, in accordance with applicable laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Meet any applicable state or local licensing requirements prior to employment, if required.

Nice To Haves

CPR and First Aid certification.
Customer service experience.
A guard card or license.
Alarm panel experience.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and perform emergency response activities when appropriate.
Respond to incidents and critical situations calmly and with a problem-solving approach.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the business location and perimeter.
Monitor access points and report unusual activity, hazards, and policy violations according to site procedures.
Complete incident reports, patrol logs, and other documentation accurately and promptly.
