About The Position

Buff City Soap is hiring a seasonal Soap Maker / Retail Associate. The position typically runs through late December. The role combines product production with retail customer service in a fast-paced, upbeat team environment. Associates help clients find products, make recommendations, meet minimum sales requirements, and maintain a clean Makery. The position may require working independently during shifts as business needs require.

Requirements

• Basic computer skills and knowledge.
• Ability to multitask between product production and customer engagement.
• Ability to work as part of a team and independently when business needs require.
• Ability to stand and walk for long periods.
• Must not be sensitive to scents and fragrances.
• Manual dexterity of hands and fingers.
• Ability to lift or assist in lifting items and boxes weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to walk, reach, climb, balance, twist, stoop, kneel, and crouch.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional customer service and ensure clients’ needs are met.
• Engage with clients, build relationships, understand their needs, and recommend products.
• Meet minimum sales requirements.
• Balance product production with retail duties and engage clients as they arrive.
• Help maintain cleanliness in the production and retail areas.
• Work cohesively with the team in an upbeat, fast-paced environment while following company policies and procedures.
• Perform Makery cleaning tasks such as dusting, sweeping, mopping, and scrubbing.
